The Kalikalos Holistic Network brings together three centres nestled in the Pilion mountain of mainland Greece, just a short distance from crystal clear Aegean beaches. From May through September, this pioneering community offers a summer programme of holistic workshops, retreats, and alternative holidays that draw people from around the world to share, play, and grow together. Patterned after the ethos of the Findhorn community in Scotland, Kalikalos demonstrates the power of intentional living and cooperation, inviting participants to experience a culture built on partnership, sustainability, and authentic human connection.

Each of the three nearby centres has its own character and rhythm, yet all share a common vision rooted in creative arts, communication, healing, and personal transformation. The flagship location in the village of Kissos celebrates its seasons with a rich offering of weekend and longer programmes, while the other centres provide additional space for workshops and community-building experiences. Vegetarian meals, simple accommodation, and the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape create an environment where visitors can slow down, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most.

Volunteers, facilitators, and long-term residents form the heart of the network, contributing their talents and energy to keep the community vibrant and welcoming. Those who wish to become more involved can explore residency opportunities, offer workshops, or support the network through donations and feedback. A monthly newsletter keeps friends and past participants informed about upcoming programmes and developments across the centres, while the website serves as a resource for brochures, booking information, and answers to frequently asked questions about life at Kalikalos.

Beyond the practicalities of running a summer programme, the network is committed to modelling a way of living that values cooperation, responsibility, and care for the earth and each other. Participants leave not only with memories of sun-drenched beaches and mountain trails but also with tools and insights they can carry into their daily lives. Whether joining for a single weekend retreat or an extended stay, everyone contributes to a living experiment in community that has been evolving season after season, rooted in the belief that holistic living can be both accessible and transformative.
